The City of Lake Oswego invites local artists to submit their paintings for display in the 4rd Annual Arbor Week Art Show. In the spirit of the centennial of Lake Oswego, the show will be titled “Enduring Forests.” All paintings must feature the imagery of trees, though preference will be made for old trees and old growth or ancient forests. Due to space constraints, for the first time the Arbor show will be chosen by jury and will include only paintings.
The event will open with a reception on Thursday, April 1th 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The artwork will remain on display through the month of April.

If applying as a team, the primary member must reside in Washington, Oregon or British Columbia.
Call for Sculptors: Milwaukie City Hall Sculpture Garden
The City Hall Sculpture Garden will be the first permanent art garden in the City of Milwaukie! This exciting project will be constructed in May-June of 2010 in conjunction with the re-construction of Jackson Street. Sculpture pieces will be installed in July-August depending on artist schedule and coordination with the Jackson Street project.
The garden will contain 6 pedestals to display work, with half the work being replaced annually with new pieces. For the first round of pieces the Milwaukie Arts Committee (knows as “artMOB”) is seeking works that are “kinetic” in nature. Pieces should have some movement and can be powered by people, rain, wind, solar, or other means.
Sculptors who are interested in being considered for the Milwaukie Sculpture Garden exhibit can obtain information to Beth Ragel at (503) 786-7568 or send a resume and 300 dpi .jpg files representative of their work to the Milwaukie Arts Committee c/o City Hall at 10722 SE Main St Milwaukie, Or 97222. Materials must be received by April 12, 2010 at 5:00 PM.

Sandy Pop-Up Gallery
Artists,
Are you interested in participating in a pop-up art gallery in Sandy? We may be able to use vacant storefronts around town as they become available. If you're interested in the general idea and want to explore the possibilities, please reply to this email. If we have enough interest, I'll set up a brainstorming session. We would be planning for a late spring opening....
