Mentor Program
Mentorships usually begin with a complex, unique or specialized Helpline request (either telephone or email) which deserves more attention than a simple phone or email conversation can reasonably provide. For those requests, Alliance staff may determine that the caller’s situation could benefit from the focused, personalized consultation a Mentorship can offer.
If Alliance staff determines that the caller’s situation qualifies for Mentor assistance, a referral will be made to a professional whose expertise matches the caller’s need. Staff will coordinate goals and expectations at the start of each Mentorship, and will work with all involved to evaluate the experience when it concludes. Mentors will typically provide 6 - 10 hours of customized, individual consulting at no cost to the caller.
Mentors have often served as business and skill development coaches, marketing analysts, strategic planners and organizational management consultants. For more information about this service, contact the Arts Alliance Program Manager.
